Infertility or rather subfertility means inability to conceive when couple is trying without contraception for some time. Till some years ago infertility was considered untreatable. However with advances in reproductive medicine, treatment has become simpler and fruitful in most of the cases. Facilities like timed intercourse, ovulation monitoring, gonadotrophin injections, IVF, ICSI, TESA ICSI, ovum donation, embryo donation, surrogacy etc, have offered a new ray of hope for millions of sub fertile couples.

Subfertility is not an uncommon problem. 10 to 15 % couples suffer from this problem at some point in their life.
